Absolute Painting was called in by a local property management company to paint this investment property in Lawrence, if part because of our estimated time frame to do the project, and also because we are a Kansas Department of Health and Environment Lead-Safe Renovation Firm.
After getting the necessary paperwork in place, we sent a painter over to do a “low-pressure rinse,” because pressure washing is not allowed by state law on a home built before 1978. Our technicians put down the paint brushes and put on their tool belts and did all of the necessary carpentry before scraping and priming. We put out heavy plastic to collect the paint chips, and primed the bare wood, old and new. The prep work complete, we sprayed a thick coat of Sherwin Williams Super Paint exterior latex satin in the new color, and hand applied the trim paint.
